how to deal with bipolar disorder?

last year in june i was diagnosed with bipolar disorder from a school psychologist (i was having severe panic attacks at school till it got to the point where i was afraid of everything). but even though i was diagnosed my parents haven’t really done anything about it to take care of it so i’ve just been seeing the school psychologist when she’s available.

this helped for a while until recently when my panic attacks have been starting to come back but worse than before. i’m afraid that these attacks are going to come back like they did last year and i have no idea how to deal with it. its my last year in high school and i just want to hurry up and get it over with. my parents don’t want to put me on any medication so how the hell do i deal with this on my own??

Let me first of all say, I hear your frustration and know things can work out. Many people have bipolar and live healthy productive lives and you can also. Bipolar is not only difficult, but difficult for most people to understand. It sound like your parents do not understand bipolar disorder. The first thing I would do is get all the info possible about the disorder, and show this to your parents. Secondly, you need to see your family doctor. I want you to go to a great web site that has all kinds of info on Bipolar Disorder.
